Prof. Dr. Kafiye Eroğlu

Koç University School of Nursing

After completing her undergraduate education in 1986, she worked as a nurse in the Department of Anesthesia and Reanimation of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine until 1989. She started to work as a research assistant at Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 1989 and received all her academic degrees from the same university. Dr. Eroğlu completed her master’s degree in 1989 and her doctorate in 1995 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, on the use of post-abortion family planning method titled “Effectiveness of Health Education in the Prevention of Induced Abortions”. She was a founding member of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus between 2007-2011 and served as the Head of the Nursing Department and the Deputy Dean at the university. She has been continuing her undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing at Koç University School of Nursing since 2013. She continues her education and research activities in the subject areas of women’s reproduction and sexual health, sexual education, and perinatology nursing.   As a faculty member of Koç University School of Nursing, she worked as an educator and content specialist in the postgraduate Educator Nurse Training, Wound Care, and Gynecological Oncology Training Courses given to health professionals at SANERC. Between May 2018 and January 2022, Dr. Eroğlu worked as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Education and Research in Nursing (JERN).
