Prof. Duygu Gözen

Prof. Dr. Duygu Gözen completed her undergraduate education at the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Istanbul University, in 1991. Between 1991 and 1992, she received training in Surgical Nursing at the Baylor College of Medicine Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, and worked as an Operating Room Nurse. She completed her Master’s degree in Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing at the Institute of Health Sciences, Istanbul University, in 1998, and her Doctorate in 2004. She started working as a research assistant at the Department of Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing, Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Istanbul University, in 1995. She was appointed as an assistant professor in 2006 and as an associate professor in 2015 at the same institution. In 2021, she was promoted to professor at the Department of Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing, Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. She served as the Coordinator of International Academic Relations and Bilateral-Multilateral Relations from 2019 to 2021, as the President of International Academic Relations from 2021 to 2023, and was appointed as Associate Dean in 2023. She began her role as a Professor at Koç University School of Nursing in 2024 and has also been serving as the Dean of Koç University School of Nursing since August 2024. She has published 29 articles in international SCIE, SCI, and SSCI-indexed journals, 16 articles in ESCI-indexed journals, and has authored 6 chapters in a project book under the International European Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants (EFCNI) Project, one international book chapter, one national book, and 19 book chapters. She has served on the scientific and organizing committees of international conferences, has presented 34 papers at international conferences, and 56 papers at national conferences. She has completed 12 doctoral and 18 master’s thesis supervisions, holds one patented invention and one utility model, and has two patent applications in process. She has received 17 awards for her scientific work.
